Hyatt Hotel Company Offers Free COVID-19 Testing at Resorts in Latin America | The State
The hotel chain will give discounts to people who need to stay longer in the hotel for issues related to the covid-19 test.

19 Hyatt company Latin American resorts will conduct free covid-19 tests until May 31, 2021 to guests traveling to the United States. Trials will only be valid for a maximum of two guests per room at participating hotels in Mexico, Costa Rica, the Caribbean and South America.
Likewise, in the event that any person must extend their stay due to a delay in the covid-19 tests, in the results of the tests or that has had a positive result before their return flight, the Hyatt hotels in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America will offer a Travel Delay Rate, which will give people up to 50% savings on standard hotel rates and up to 30% off food and beverages, except alcoholic beverages.
“Our new covid-19 testing offering and complimentary travel delay fee provide travelers with added confidence, peace of mind and convenience when staying or considering traveling to any of Hyatt’s properties in Latin America,” said Mark Vondrasek , Hyatt’s commercial director.
“We are leading with safety and wellness as a priority, always with creative and innovative solutions and we look forward to expanding the trial options to more Hyatt guests and hotels in the Americas and around the world in the near future,” he added.
Hyatt hotels will work with local health authorities and follow local guidelines to make arrangements for guests who may need to isolate themselves after their COVID-19 test., either accommodating guests within the hotel or in a local quarantine center.
