Pamela Anderson accused of 'splitting up family' by new husband's furious ex
Pamela Anderson has been accused of splitting up a family of five with her romance and marriage to her ‘bodyguard’ Dan Hayhurst.
The 53-yea-old former Baywatch star has been labelled a “home wrecker” by Dan’s heartbroken ex Carey, who said that Pamela stole her man and that their relationship wasn’t the lockdown love idyll that has been portrayed.
Carey, 42, claims she was still in a relationship with Dan when he was seduced by the actress while he worked at her home in the Canadian town of Ladysmith.
Pamela married Dan on Christmas Eve and revealed details of the ceremony this week, which was Pamela’s sixth wedding, to her fifth husband.
She said: “I’m exactly where I need to be — in the arms of a man who loves me.”
Carey has hit out at Dan, who she lived with for five years while bringing up his two children, saying that the first thing she knew about the marriage was when she saw it online.
Carey told The Sun : “This is not the lockdown love story which is being portrayed, it’s all a facade.”
She continued to say: “It’s sad that people celebrate this and cheer them on, when it started with deceit, denials and life-shattering choices for all the people involved.”
Carey claimed that Dan was not Pamela’s bodyguard but her handyman, who she hired to work on the house.
She claims that he has hurt his kids with the ‘betrayal’ and that his relationship with Pamela had also cost him friendships.
Carey said: “We did everything together, like family vacations, family fishing trips, we worked on family projects together. It was always us.”
She said that Dan started working for Pamela in autumn 2019 and that he would mock her “crazy” personality and demands.
It all changed in March last year, according to Carey, as Dan started spending more time with Pamela.
She claimed: “Dan would stay at her house and not come home, and here I am taking care of the kids.
“At first he denied it when I confronted him but then, finally, I asked him, ‘Are you sleeping with Pam? He said, ‘All I’m going to say is I’ve crossed the line’.”
Dan asked for “time to figure things out” but his relationship with Pam continued and in July he moved in permanently with her.
The wedding allegedly took place with the blessing of family and friends, according to Pam, but Carey disputes this, saying: “No one was invited to the wedding.”
Carey added: “He can be very manipulative so in a sense they are made for each other, but I don’t see this lasting. I’d be very surprised.”
