The trend continues to be encouraging in Quebec, while hospitalizations are down and the number of infections appears to be stabilizing.
Quebec reports Thursday 1368 additional cases and 39 deaths, bringing the total to 258,698 infected people and 9,667 deaths since the start of the pandemic.
Yesterday, the province recorded 1,328 new infections and 53 deaths.
Prime Minister François Legault hinted, during his last press briefing, that reductions in restrictions as of February 8 will be announced next week, but that many of them will remain in place, particularly in Greater Montreal.
A day of national commemoration for those missing from COVID-19 will be held on March 11 in Quebec, also revealed Mr. Legault.
