The daily toll of new infections rose slightly on Wednesday on both shores of the greater Quebec City region. The Capitale-Nationale and Chaudière-Appalaches, however, both remain at the respective bar of 100 and 50 cases.

According to data from the Ministry of Health published Wednesday morning, the Capitale-Nationale recorded 81 new infections, up 15 from Tuesday. According to these figures, 7 deaths have also been added to the regional toll.
Chaudière-Appalaches also experienced a slight upturn on Wednesday with 44 new cases. As for the cumulative death toll, it now stands at 248, an addition of two in the past 24 hours.
In the eastern regions, four infections were reported in Bas-Saint-Laurent, while Gaspésie, Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Côte-Nord recorded none.
