Love Island's Lucie Donlan getting death threats after Yewande bullying claims
Lucie Donlan is begging Love Island fans to let her comments about Yewande Biala go after she started receiving death threats.
The 22-year-old, who appeared in the 2019 series of the ITV2 dating show, says she’s been bombarded with sick online messages accusing her of racism after some old comments she made resurfaced.
The surfer had accused Yewande of bullying her during their time in the villa, prompting Yewande and some of her fellow Islanders to hit back.
But now Lucie says it’s getting out of hand.
She told MailOnline : “These are really old comments dug up purely to incite a row between two females.
“In this day and age and with everything going on in the world, we should all be sticking together not attacking each other.
“I’ve been sent death threats which are incredibly scary as you can imagine.”
In the resurfaced comments, a fan had asked Lucie: “How do you feel about Yewande saying you’re a horrible person?”

The star replied: “She’s always bullied me. I’m not bothered about her opinion… makes her look bad. Not sure where she said that though!”
Yewande hit back on Twitter, writing: “You refused to call me by my name because it was too “hard to pronounce” now you wanna say I bullied you !! Bullied”
Series winner Amber Gill got involved, replying: “Na when she said can I call you ‘Y’ I said lol no you can’t can I just call you ‘her’ you were peaceful in that exchange It was me with the vim”
Lucie has said that her trouble pronouncing Yewande’s name is “just what I’m like”, adding that she had asked her if she could use a shortened version of her name instead, insisting there was “nothing sinister” behind her request.
She said the comments she made 18 months ago had “snowballed” and “got out of hand” as she asked everyone to “move on” from it.
The Instagram messages had been unearthed by a Reddit user and had been sent shortly after the series they were all on came to an end.
