His family said in a statement: ‘We will forever be saddened that his life was cut short by this devastating disease.

‘He achieved a lot in his 24 years, but we will never get the chance to see how much more Harry could have done.’

His family added: ‘Harry was not just our son. He was also a wonderful brother, loving grandson, favorite uncle and a caring friend.

‘He was a creative, loving and powerful soul that brought light into so many people’s hearts. He was truly a beautiful person inside and out.’

Harry is also survived by an older half-brother from his mother’s previous marriage to guitarist Tommy Andrews, as well as four half-siblings from his father’s previous marriage to Sandra Brant.

Seymour and Brant tied the knot in July 1995 in Paris, after meeting through the photographer Sante D’Orazio when Seymour was 26 and Brant was 48.

The ceremony was held at a chapel on an estate just outside the city.

Seymour filed for divorce in March 2009 after 15 years of marriage, but by September 2010 they had called off their divorce.

Seymour, whose career as a supermodel soared in the 90s, has appeared on the cover of Vogue and in numerous issues of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
