Chocolate bars removed from stores for containing plastic pieces

The chocolates were sold in 50 states across the country.

The chocolate company, Lake Champlain announced that it will recall its chocolate bars after the FDA reported that a customer found pieces of plastic in one of its products. The chocolates that the company is recalling are those it shipped to stores from July 2020 to January 2021.

The chocolates were sold in 50 states across the country, as reported in Thrillist.

Please note that chocolate bars are not sold individually only, as some can be found in gift packages, baskets and boxes.

The brands of chocolate that Lake Champlain makes that you should be careful with are:

–Hazelnut Five Star Bar
–Fruit & Nut Five Star Bar
–Almond Five Star Bar
–Granola Five Star Bar
–Organic Milk Chocolate Bar with Sea Salt & Almonds
–Milk Chocolate Almond Bark
–Chocolates of Vermont Green Mountain

Try to only consume chocolate bars that are shipped from February.

The chocolate company has asked customers to stop consuming the previous brands that were sent to stores until this month of January. For any additional questions or concerns, you should send an email to [email protected], as announced by the FDA.
