12-year-old Mexican girl gives birth to premature baby | The State

The girl was transferred to the General Hospital of Las Américas in Ecatepec, where after a somewhat complicated delivery, she had her baby at 8 months of gestation. The newborn was a male, who despite being born early, weighed 3,200 kilos and measured 50 centimeters.

The adolescents indicated to personnel of the National System for the Integral Development of Families (DIF) that they lived together in a room that they made with wooden boards.

The municipal government indicated that the minors and their baby will be provided with medical and psychological support, social work and a welfare card through which they will receive about $ 125 per month.

Meanwhile, the parents of these adolescents assured that they will also provide them with support and be attentive to what they need.
