Snow in the Outaouais: snowblowers and smiles!

The first heavy snowfall deconfined many people in the Outaouais who came out of their homes to free their entrance from this thick white carpet or to hit the slopes with a smile on their face.

The precipitation, coupled with the mild weather that was above freezing on Saturday, prompted young and old to step their noses outside. Everyone had a blast filling their lungs with fresh air, no matter what the activity.

In residential areas, snowblowers, aided by shovels, paraded through the streets. Snowmen and forts grew here and there on the snowy grounds, to the delight of the children.

While some slipped on a sled in a park, others took their offspring in a sled. The ski resorts in the region were also very busy welcoming the hordes of visitors.

In short, a well-deserved respite which, like this snow, is timely.
