VIDEO: Unexpected tribute to Maradona at UFC | The State

The mixed martial arts fighter, Santiago Ponzinibbio, did not miss the opportunity to pay tribute to his soccer idol: Diego Armando Maradona.

During the weigh-in ceremony of UFC Fight Island 7 the Argentine fighter came face to face with his rival, the Chinese Li Jingliang, but the surprise came after an exchange of glances and a few words, since at that moment Ponzinibbio, in front of the cameras, spread the image he had rolled up and in which he discovered a picture of Maradona when he won the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, which had the phrase “Forever” printed on it.

The fight will take place this Saturday, January 16 and will mark the return to the octagon of the Argentine martial artist, who was out of activity for 26 months due to injuries and infections that affected him.
