'Humiliated' Kim Kardashian was 'friends' with Jeffree Star before Kanye rumour

Kim Kardashian feels “humiliated” over a false rumour that former friend Jeffree Star had hooked up with Kanye West.

A rumour that YouTuber Jeffree and Kanye had hooked up spread across the internet like wildfire despite TikToker Ava Louise admitting that she had made it all up.

It was enough for Kim to ask Jeffree to shut the speculation down, after he helped to stoke the fire with some incendiary posts of his own after waking up to find himself trending on social media.

While Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim was reportedly furious with the situation, there was a time when she was on very friendly terms with Jeffree and even spoke out for him when he faced a race storm.

In 2017, 35-year-old Jeffree was photographed with Kim, 40, at the launch of her KKW Beauty brand.

Jeffree was feuding with Kylie Jenner at the time as he had been critical of her cosmetics brands but that didn’t stop Kim embracing his attendance.

He shared a selfie of him with Kim on the big day, captioning it on Instagram : “Serving you #Contour Queen realness.

“Congrats @kimkardashian on the launch of #KKWBeauty.”

After this, the pair continued to support each other and when Jeffree was accused of being racist, Kim spoke out and defended him.

She said in a video posted on Instagram at the time: “I see that my fans are totally hating on someone like Jeffree Star for being honest about my struggle swatches, but because of his remarks, I’m learning from the best, like from Mario, how to swatch properly.

“And I see you being so petty, bringing up things in his past where he was negative, but he’s also apologized for those things.

“I get it’s a serious deal if you say racial things, but I do believe in people changing, and people that apologise, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and accept that people change and move on.”

It soon changed though and the next day, Kim reversed her feelings on the matter and apologised to has own fans for speaking out.

She said: “Hey guys, so I really wanted to apologise to you guys and my fans for defending a situation yesterday that I really didn’t know enough about.

“I just feel a bit naive and I do wanna really apologize for me feeling like I had the right to say ‘get over it’ in a situation that involves racism.

“I just don’t really feel like I have the right to speak on that, and I really, really, really am sorry.”

Kim continued: “So I really am sorry, and I just want to move forward and be positive. And my last message is that just, I do believe that people are born to love and born with love and they’re taught to hate, so I have always had hopes that people can change and learn to be better and do better, and learn to find that love again, so never give up hope.”

This signalled an end to their friendship and while they have kept themselves out of each other’s lives for a while until it all blew up last week.

A source told The Sun : “Kim is humiliated by everything with Jeffree and the divorce as a whole.

“She has lot of friends and a lot of respect in the makeup world so she was embarrassed with all of those Jeffree rumours.”
