Stacey Solomon gets teary as she creates unique guest book for wedding to Joe
Stacey Solomon admitted she was overcome with emotion as she started planning her dream wedding to Joe Swash.
Her beau popped the question at Christmas time, and the Loose Women star is using the third lockdown productively to gather ideas for their big day.
The 31-year-old shared her preparations so far with her fans on Instagram, showing off her unique globe-shaped guestbook which has the words “forever begins today” printed onto it.
The crafty DIY fan created the guestbook herself by transforming her sons’ old unused globe.
Stacey, who is believed to be Sausage on The Masked Singer, explained: “I’ve seen so many people make cute guest books out of globes. I’m going to attempt to make one for our wedding.
“I’ve stolen the boys’ globe. They don’t need it right now. As soon as we’re allowed to venture out of the house I’ll buy them another one.”
The mum-of-three added to her followers: “I actually feel really teary it’s so ridiculous …. But I love it so much. I need a bigger pot for my gold pens, and I may dab some glitter around the line, but for some reason I quite like the equator line.
“Knowing one day it will have special messages on it just makes my heart full wish I’d took a before picture.”
She also shared a picture of a white notebook she was using as her “wedding planner”, writing the words on the front in beautiful calligraphy.
She wrote: “Really geeking out right now and starting my wedding planner”
Stacey revealed on Christmas Eve that Joe, father of her son Rex, had popped the question.
Sharing a gorgeous snap of herself smiling and showing off her engagement ring, she wrote: “To the moon and back bub. I have no words”
She followed it up on New Year’s Eve with a happy picture of them together with their dog.
She penned: “My fiancé It just doesn’t get old
“My first picture with my future husband (sounds so weird) Just wanted to come on here and say, thank you so much for all of your lovely messages and kindness it means the world.
“Sharing this with you was like telling my family Thank you for everything in 2020 couldn’t have done it without you… I can not wait for a fresh new year to begin. Hoping that 2021 brings hope, happiness and health with it. Love you all to the moon and back…”
