Britney's sister Jamie Lynn Spears shows off singing voice in old home movie
Jamie Lynn Spears showed off her incredible natural singing talent as she shared an unearthed home movie with her fans.
The younger sister of Britney Spears took to Instagram on Friday and uploaded the homemade footage, which was taken in January 1999, so her fans could see.
Jamie, now 29, is aged around eight-years-old in the video clip which she posted on her social media page as she sang to her family as a child.
Alongside the video, she wrote: “Making people watch me sing Annie on the tour bus, pretty much sums up my childhood also.. song seems relevant right now.
“Thanks to my brother for sending me this gem.”
Jamie sings the classic song Tomorrow as her older brother Bryan, 43, filmed the footage.
She showed off her incredible singing talent and sassy side on the camera, making sure everyone was watching.
The former Zoey 101 actress was inundated with comments from her fans after they listened to the video.
Among the sea of compliments, one wrote: “Beautifully done.”
“You are a fantastic singer,” another shared.
A third penned: “Annie – the best musical, such a cute video.”
Others told Jamie she has “natural talent” as they admitted the throwback clip brought them joy.
The actress recently hit headlines after she reportedly dropped a petition that would have given her more oversight of her sister Britney’s finances.
Jamie is said to have informed the court that she does not want to pursue plans to become head of the singer’s trust.
The star made a complete U-turn after Britney’s unusual conservatorship was flung into the spotlight alongside the Free Britney movement.
According to documents that had been obtained by The Blast, Jamie informed the court that she was withdrawing the petition that had originally been filed in August.
The decision was revealed during a court hearing that took place in November.
Britney has been involved with a conservatorship ever since her breakdown in 2007, meaning that her dad Jamie had oversight of her finances.
Her father and temporary conservator Jodi Montgomery have been in charge of handling Britney’s personal affairs for the past twelve years.
Britney’s sister Jamie was also named as a trustee of her multi-billion dollar estate to ensure that the singer’s assets get passed onto her children.
However, the Toxic songstress does not want Jamie to be involved and has requested that the management of her business and personal affairs be handed over to the Bessemer Trust Company.
