A mayor of a French city offered his constituents, during the year-end greetings, a tape measure to remind them of respect for the physical distancing imposed by COVID-19.
The mayor of Baillargues, in the Occitanie region, in France, had the municipality’s greeting card accompanied by this atypical gift, bearing the colors of the city.
“In 2021, no half-measures, keep your distance,” wrote Jean-Luc Meissonnier who added a satirical comic strip on the coronavirus in his mailing, French media reported Wednesday.
Mayor Meissonnier is used to original greeting cards that are out of the ordinary
He has already sent a compass to the residents of the city, as a symbol of “disoriented voters”, according to France 3.
