This is not the first time that Tiriac has dared to comment on Serena’s decision to return to the slopes in 2018, at 36 years old and after taking maternity leave, to insist that she was not being realistic. She had previously responded by acknowledging that anyone can comment on her career, but also stated that she would not hesitate to hold him accountable for her words if they ever met face to face.
