Dr. Dre's mansion targeted while he was hospitalised with aneurysm
Dr Dre’s home was the target of a suspected burglary attempt while the music mogul recovered from a brain aneurysm in intensive care.
The 55-year-old – born Andre Romelle Young – was rushed to hospital this week where he was put in intensive care after suffering from bleeding on his brain.
According to ABC7, the rapper’s Brentwood, California home was the target of an attempted burglary on Tuesday evening while he was in hospital.
Security officers at the star’s home encountered the alleged burglars before contacting the police department.
According to the report, police officers briefly chased an SUV before taking four people into custody.
The vehicle was filled with a backpack full of burglary tools and a crowbar. However nothing is believed to have been taken from Dr Dre’s home.
A representative for Dr. Dre as well as the LAPD have been contacted by The Mirror for comment.
The attempted burglary comes after the musician was rushed to hospital having suffered from a brain aneurysm.
TMZ explained at the time that Dr Dre was in a “stable and lucid” condition as doctors worked to determine the cause of the issue.
Not long after, the record producer took to social media to update fans on his recovery.
“Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes,” the rapper penned on Instagram.
“I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon.
He added: “Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!”
Alongside the health update, Dr. Dre shared a black and white image of him in a recording studio.
The star was quickly inundated with messages as friends and fans flocked to wish the artist a speedy recovery.
