90-year-old man fell down a sewer in New York | The State
An elderly man in his 90s was rescued after falling 10 feet (3 meters) down a storm drain on Long Island (NY).
Apparently a sewer grate gave way when the man stepped on it in Central Islip, local fire officials said. He was found by a neighbor who was out for a walk and heard him groan for help.
Central Islip Fire Chief Christopher Portelli said it took about 45 minutes for first responders to remove the man, who was involved in the accident. outside your residential building at 201 Medea Way, just after 1 p.m. of Saturday.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, but in stable condition, reported Pix11.
