Two men with parachutes spark 'mass panic' as they jump from rooftop bar of downtown Nashville hotel
Two men are being sought by police in Nashville after they BASE jumped from a hotel rooftop bar, causing ‘mass panic’ among patrons just days after the city was rocked by a huge bombing on Christmas Day.
Local resident Amanda Bagley had been drinking at the bar atop the Grand Hyatt Hotel, on Broadway, when the two men made the daring jump at around 6:50pm on Friday night.
She told WZTV how she watched on in horror as the two men approached the railing at the roof’s edge and jumped, throwing parachutes out behind them.
In video she captured of the incident, Bagley is heard screaming out to the men in a panic, ‘Oh my god, holy s***’.
Thankfully nobody was injured in the incident, with the two daredevils landing safely on the ground below.
In a police report, investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department wrote that the stunt ‘caused mass panic and patrons for the bar began screaming,’ according to KIRO7.

The incident happened at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, on Broadway, at around 6:50pm on Friday night
Witnesses looked over the edge of the building, and saw the two men parachuting across the road to an adjacent parking lot.
Once they landed, the two men got into a parked car and drove off, according to the report.
The rooftop bar is open to both hotel guests and local patrons. Hotel security told police they believed the men may have been guests at the hotel and provided video of the incident.
While the identities of the men are not currently known, the Grand Hyatt later confirmed in a statement that the two men were hotel guests.
‘The hotel immediately engaged local authorities, and the guests were subsequently evicted and banned from the hotel,’ the hotel said.
‘We vehemently condemn this kind of reckless behavior, and further questions regarding this situation may be directed to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.’
The two men remain at large with an investigation ongoing.

Nashville was already a city very much on edge following a huge Christmas Day explosion on a nearby street in the city’s downtown area.
Authorities have identified Anthony Warner, 63, as the cul
prit for the explosion, which damaged dozens of buildings and injured several people. Officials have not released a motive.
The bombing occurred Christmas morning well before downtown streets were bustling with activity.
Police were responding to a report of shots fired when they encountered the RV blaring a recorded warning that a bomb would detonate in the area in 15 minutes.
Then, inexplicably, the audio switched to a recording of Petula Clark’s 1964 hit ‘Downtown’ shortly before the blast.
Badgley, who lives in downtown just blocks from whether the bomb went off, said she couldn’t believe what was happening at the hotel on Friday.

‘Last night was really my first night going out,’ Bagley told WZTV. ‘It was a lot of trying to process what I’d seen after the bomb exploded.’
‘They had all the gear and just brazenly walked out there like they knew what they were doing,’ she said.
‘I would be lying if I wasn’t experiencing some trauma,’ she added. ‘There was staff shouting [at them] you can’t do that.’
Bagley said the incident, in addition to the frightening Christmas Day bombing made her feel as though she’d been living ‘in a move … for the past week.’
