Strictly's Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec plan to start a family together
Strictly’s Janette Manrara and Aljaz Skorjanec are going to start a family.
The couple have been together for 10 years but Janette admitted she has been waiting for the perfect time.
However, the coronavirus pandemic has made her realise there will never be the “perfect moment”.
The choreographer confessed it was “scary” decision because as a dancer her body is her job.
“We always wanted to have a baby, but 2020 has definitely made me say to myself: ‘You know what, Janette, it’s never going to be the perfect time but it’s always going to be the right time,'” she told Hello! magazine.
“As a woman who’s a dancer, my body is my job so it’s scary to make that decision about the perfect time to start a family. I always thought there would be a perfect month and year, but what 2020 has made me realise is that perfect time is never going to come along.”
Janette gushed over her long-time love Aljaz as she reckons he will be a “great dad”.
After 10 years, it’s no surprise she feels the couple are ready to become parents.
She added: “We’re definitely ready to be parents so we will see when that moment comes – you can’t plan it. We will be beside ourselves and Aljaz will be the best dad. He is such a wonderful man and I’m so lucky to have him.”
Aljaz and Janette both star as professional dancers on Strictly Come Dancing.
The couple were happily married in 2017.
It comes after Aljaz opened up about the couple learning to adapt living together at home during lockdown.
“Janette and I stayed in this flat for months. We have lived together for 10 years but we’ve always worked as well,” he explained on the Power of 10 podcast with Graham Bell
“So it was interesting to learn the dynamics of the two of us being at home but not doing much.”
