The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Henry and Meghan, they wished that by 2021 a better world could be built.

In a letter posted yesterday on the official website of their new organization, Archewell, the couple invites people to be more compassionate.

“I am my mother’s son. And I am the mother of our child. Together we bring you Archewell. We believe in the best of humanity ”, says the text, accompanied by two photographs, one of Enrique with the late Princess Diana and the other of the former actress with her mother, Doria Ragland.

“Because we have seen the best of humanity. We have experienced compassion and kindness, both from our mothers and from strangers. In the face of fear, struggle, and pain, it can be easy to lose sight of this. Together, we can choose courage, healing, and connection. Together, we can choose to put compassion into action. “

Through their new organization, the Dukes will support five organizations, one of them the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford University, which develops techniques to promote altruism.

And the queen too

Queen Elizabeth II also issued a positive message, alluding to the complicated 2020 pandemic.
“We must console ourselves that, although we have more to bear, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; We’ll meet again.

“I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year,” said the Queen of England on her social media.
