Love Island's Anna Vakili 'screamed' when she thought dad was dead from Covid

Anna Vakili has opened up about the terrifying moment she thought her dad had died from coronavirus.

The Love Island star, 30, her sister Mandi and their parents are all self-isolating after catching the bug over the festive season.

While he initially didn’t seem to be suffering too badly with Covid-19, her father collapsed on Boxing Day and Anna screamed, thinking he was dead.

She called it “the scariest moment of my life”, as she admitted he’s very unwell with coronavirus and bedbound.

Anna was the first in her family to suffer symptoms and she started getting sick on December 17.

While she was still waiting for her tests results, Anna’s dad took a huge risk and kissed her on the cheek.

He was asymptomatic at first with Anna revealing that he was dancing on Christmas Eve.

Then just two days later he collapsed and hit his head on the floor.

“I thought he had died,” Anna told The Sun.

She went on: “I ran out of my room because I heard it and I saw him lying there eyes open, having completely lost consciousness and I was screaming and crying.”

They called an ambulance and the paramedics explained that her dad’s temperature had got too high.

He refused to go to hospital and has been bed-bound ever since.

“Straight away isolate even if it’s the tiniest sniffle – isolate and get a test,” she urged. “I think that’s the safest thing for you and others.”
