Harry Styles’ ‘Treat People With Kindness’ Music Video: Watch The Singer Dance With Phoebe Waller-Bridge

His mantra is making it to the screen. On New Year’s Day, Harry Styles dropped the long awaited video for ‘Treat People With Kindness’ — and it was more than worth the wait.

“Maybe we can, Find a place to feel good, And we can treat people with kindness,” croons Harry Styles as he suits up to serenade Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge in his music video for “Treat People With Kindness.” The 26-year-old hitmaker dropped the video nearly a year after releasing his sophomore album, Fine Line, much to the delight of his fans worldwide.

The video opens in black and white and has a distinct ’60s edge to it, featuring Harry strutting out on to a stage with dancers and an old fashioned microphone. A chorus sings the opening lyrics of the tune before Harry breaks out into his solo. Not only does Harry put his dulcet tones on display, his eclectic style comes through, as well. The singer sports a glittering blazer at the beginning of the music video before showing off some of his groovy dance moves!

But it’s not just Harry and his backup dancers who get to break it down in the visual accompaniment to his up-beat tune. Even Emmy-winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge cuts a rug with a slew of patrons in the dinner theater-style set-up. Before long, it’s Phoebe and Harry who totally steal the show with their choreography back on stage. While donned in matching costumes, the two talents create a dance break that harkens back to classic Hollywood musicals for a fun-filled, electric conclusion. You can watch the music video above!

Fine Line is “all about having sex and feeling sad,” Harry told Rolling Stone in the in-depth profile about his sophomore release. The article also hinted at just how much the album was influenced by his split from French model Camille Rowe, 29. “He went through this breakup that had a big impact on him,” Tom Hull, one of Harry’s “closest collaborators” and best friends, told Rolling Stone. “He had a whole emotional journey about her, this whole relationship. But I kept saying, ‘The best way of dealing with it is to put it in these songs you’re writing.’”

Harry, not one to kiss and tell, admitted that the songs on Fine Line are coming from personal heartbreak, but he didn’t name his ex-girlfriend by name. “It’s not like I’ve ever sat and done an interview and said, ‘So I was in a relationship, and this is what happened,’” he said. “Because, for me, music is where I let that cross over. It’s the only place, strangely, where it feels right to let that cross over.” Though this quote led some to wonder if Harry would discuss his romance with Taylor Swift on the record, it wasn’t the case. After all, Harry and Taylor haven’t been together for nearly seven years, and it both have had their hearts broken by others since then.
