3-Year-Old Boy Abandoned With His Dog In Ohio Cemetery Two Days Before Christmas | The State
The 3-year-old boy abandoned with his dog in an Ohio cemetery two days before Christmas is in a foster home in Medina County, reported the Hinckley Police Department.
Officers from that office received a wake-up call last week for a single boy with a canine on Hope Memorial Gardens Cemetery, at about 12:16 p.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, the officers spoke with a person who told them that those who abandoned the boy had parked around a corner of the cemetery before fleeing at high speed from the area when they were surprised.
“As the investigation continues with many unanswered questions, we want to assure everyone that Tony is doing well in the loving home of a foster family here in Medina County. His father has been very cooperative with us and with Juvenile Services as part of the investigation, ”reads the statement on Facebook from the head of the police department, David Centner.
Authorities have not specified who exactly left the boy in the cemetery. But WJW-TV reported that the boy was in the custody of his mother when he was abandoned.
In another recent such case reported this month, two people abandoned a 2-year-old boy outside a Goodwill donation center in Southaven, Mississippi, accompanied by a plastic bag containing a change of clothes and a note.
Surveillance video captured the moment when the suspects, a man and a woman arrive in the area in a red vehicle. The images show the subject leaving the child before walking away.
Hours after the victim was dropped off at the scene, a man was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee, in connection with the case.
