At least five people, believed to be relatives, were found dead in an Arkansas home in what appeared to be a massacre on Christmas Day. authorities said.
Deputies responded to a home in Atkins for a possible homicide call yesterday, shortly after 5 p.m., according to the Pope County Sheriff’s Office.
“Tragedy has struck Pope County on this Christmas Day,” said a spokesman for the sheriff’s office at a press conference last night.
“Upon arrival, we noted that there were potentially five victims inside this residence. We believe that they are all members of the family ”. No other information about how they died was released, as the investigation continues, it reported. New York Post.
Atkins, small rural town of about 3,000 inhabitants, It is located in central Arkansas, about 70 miles northwest of Little Rock.
