The Mexican international Hirving “Chucky” Lozano, who retired injured this Sunday from the league game lost by the Napoli in the field of Lazio (0-2), suffers “severe trauma to the left leg,” according to his club in a statement after the examinations carried out at the Roman clinic in Villa Stuart.
Lozano, who scored six goals this season in Serie A and one in the Europa League, went to Villa Stuart at the end of the match against Lazio and, according to the Neapolitan newspaper “Il Mattino” on Monday, the examinations excluded fractures.
The Mexican left the pitch with ice on his injured leg without needing the stretcher, but he was helped by two members of the Naples medical team so that he did not support his left foot.
The injury came after a strong clash with Romanian Lazio defender Stefan Radu as the two players fought for a ball on the right wing.
Everything indicates that Lozano will be left out of the list of coach Gennaro Gattuso for this Wednesday’s match against Torino, with which Napoli will close their 2020.
