Chelsea have hit a sticky period after back-to-back losses in the Premier League to Everton and Wolves.
With January coming up, the transfer window is set to open and Frank Lampard may be tempted to delve into some new signings.
Despite splashing the cash over the summer, including the arrivals of Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner, Lampard wants more.
Declan Rice is the top target at Stamford Bridge but Manchester United have entered the race.
Elsewhere, Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is close to wrapping up one deal while Olivier Giroud has been tipped to sign a new contract.
Here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.
Man Utd enter Rice race
Manchester United are eyeing a move for Declan Rice as Chelsea make him their top transfer target.
The Blues are keen on a January deal but that remains a very unlikely proposition that could open the door to an Old Trafford transfer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Rice is one of several targets that the club will look to sign in the summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to prioritise the West Ham star, especially in light of Paul Pogba’s latest transfer saga, and with the Norweigan desperate for an out-an-out defensive midfielder.

January deal close
Chelsea chief Granovskaia is on the verge of agreeing a deal that would see Fikayo Tomori sign for Rennes for the rest of the season.
The Englishman was on the verge of leaving in the last transfer window but rejected a move as he looked to prove he was good enough for the Blues first-team.
That has failed to materialise but the club have not given up on him and are keen on Tomori gaining for first-team experience.
According to talkSPORT, Rennes are set to take on the centre-back until the end of the season.
Chelsea are more likely to give Giroud a new contract than let him go in January, according to former player Rob Green.
The Frenchman has been linked with a move away but has recently earned his spot back in the first-team.
“As long as he wants to be there he should be there,” former Blues goalkeeper Green told Stadium Astro.
“It’s one that they are finding very hard to replace. I think Tammy [Abraham] is still a work in progress.
“I think it’s a massive transfer window in January, I think there will be suitors and people will come in for him and it’s in Chelsea’s interests to keep him there.
“That might include giving him a new contract.”
