“The passage for these two MRCs in red is justified by a significant increase in new cases in recent weeks, outbreaks in care and accommodation settings for seniors as well as a distribution of cases in several municipalities” a indicated the CISSS de l’Outaouais in a press release on Monday.
This means that dining rooms and gyms will also have to close in this part of the territory. Visits to seniors’ residences and CHSLDs will also be prohibited, except for natural caregivers.
Until now, only the City of Gatineau was at the maximum alert level in the Outaouais.
The MRCs of Vallée-de-la-Gatineau and Papineau include, among others, the municipalities of Montebello, Maniwaki, Papineauville and Thurso.
