Costco warehouse stores will be closed on Christmas and New Years Day, because, as you know, they are holidays. However, although the company has not yet released a statement announcing it, it is very possible that it will be open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, but with reduced hours. So you would have until these days to do your shopping for your holiday party.
If we are guided by the schedule that these two days had in 2019, then it is very likely that the chain closes around 5:00 in the afternoon these two days before Christmas and New Year, as reported in Mashed.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the time between 9:00 and 10:00 in the morning, Monday through Friday, is a special opening hours. This means that Costco can only enter members age 60 and over, or with a disability. This action is part of Costco’s efforts to mitigate the further spread of COVID-19 during the holiday rush of the season.
After this information, to be totally sure of the hours that the store will be operating on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, it would be best to check with your local Costco in case they have decided several operations with the rest of the country.
