The Blue Basket’s online catalog saw its offer triple to reach 1.6 million products available at Quebec retailers.
Since the launch on October 16, more than 400,000 product searches have been completed, with an average of five searches per user.
Figures released Monday by the organization indicate a surge in online shopping this holiday season, with more than 150,000 unique visits and some 800,000 pageviews.
“In the current context, we wanted to offer a solution to consumers to improve access to products sold by local retailers,” said the general manager of the blue basket Alain Dumas, in a press release.
“The catalog allows you on the one hand to find inspiration for holiday shopping, but also to conclude purchases in a few clicks on the transactional sites of Quebec retailers” added Mr. Dumas.
The Blue Basket organization previously launched the # JachèteBleu campaign to encourage consumers to support merchants in their neighborhoods.
