Sometimes they didn’t get an answer at all, or they found out that the people they wanted didn’t live at the address, according to a report by the National Council of Chiefs of Police (NPCC).

Since the beginning of June, the British police have checked more than 7 thousand foreign citizens and issued 223 fines for violating quarantine.

641 residents of England and Wales received a fine for refusing to wear a mask in shops and public transport. 136 people received were fined £ 10 thousand for organizing parties, raves, protest marches with the participation of more than thirty people.

Since March 2020, the police in England and Wales have issued just under 25 thousand fines. The overwhelming majority of violators were people between the ages of 18 and 39.
