Hispanic Teen Caused Two Road Accident Deaths on Thanksgiving Night in New York | The State

Two people died and two others were seriously injured in a traffic accident on the Southern State Parkway (Long Island, NY), on Thanksgiving night..

Apparently the accident near Exit 21 in Hempstead was caused by a driver identified as Herson González, 19, said police, who received a call around 8:30 p.m. from Thursday.

Gonzalez was driving a 2004 Honda Pilot heading west on the Southern State Parkway when his vehicle collided with a 2020 Toyota Corolla. After the impact, Gonzalez lost control of his car and jumped a railing until he collided with the overpass.

Two passengers in González’s car were pronounced dead at the scene: Patricia Ramkissoon and Elliott Bryant, both 23 years old. Further, four people were taken to Nassau University Hospital in East Meadow, two in serious condition.

González was reported injured in stable condition and the Toyota’s occupants were unharmed. The collision is under investigation, he said. Newsday.
