Ian “H” Watkins has addressed the rumours that he’d coupled up with a new man amid a flurry of fan speculation.

H, one fifth of the now-returning pop group Steps, was rumoured to have found new love with dancer-turned-tour manager Tom Hope.

The dad-of-two, who split from his twins’ dad Craig Ryder three years back, was said to be “smitten” after he was first linked to Tom.

And keeping tight-lipped about details, H could only confirm that he’s “happy.”

Chatting to the Mirror on an exclusive Facebook Live with his Steps bandmates, the handsome star remarked: “All I’ll say is that I’m very happy and I’m in a lovely happy bubble.”

A friend previously told The Sun : “H is smitten and it’s lovely for everyone to see.

“He had been single for almost three years and was totally focused on his twin boys and his work.”

The insider added that H was over the moon to meet a new fella after the hectic schedule by Dancing On Ice earlier this year.

“He is the happiest he has been in a long time,” they continued, “and everyone is saying he’s got that old smile back.”

He made show history as one half of the show’s first same-sex couple with American pro Matt Evers.

Matt will take to the ice in January 2021 with Denise Van Outen.

H, Faye Tozer, Lee Latchford- Evans, Lisa Scott Lee and Claire Richards first formed in 1997 and carved out an impressive pop career in the four years before their split.

In that time, they racked up 15 Top 40 hits, most memorably their two No 1s, Stomp and Tragedy.

Today marks the release of their latest – and sixth – studio album, What The Future Holds, and have pencilled in an arena tour for the autumn.

And it’s not just fans giddy with excitement, as Australian singer and megastar Sia gifted them a track for their comeback.
