It was a long, interminable night for all of Argentina, which continued to assimilate the death of its greatest sports idol, Diego Armando Maradona.

After the autopsy performed on Maradona’s body at the San Fernando hospital, which resulted in the “Pelusa” dying of heart failure while he was sleeping, his remains were transferred to the Casa Rosada, headquarters of the Argentine executive power.

After 1 a.m. local time in Buenos Aires, after Maradona’s body was disposed of for the wake, relatives, friends and guests began to arrive.

Among those who approached the Government House were several members of the generation of 86, the team that became world champion with Maradona in the World Cup in Mexico. The presence of figures linked to Boca was also observed, such as Martín Palermo, Rolando Schiavi and Carlos Tevez.
