An intervention of third alarm Quebec Fire Protection Service (SPCIQ) is underway at Séminaire Saint-François, in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, Thursday morning.
Firefighters received the call shortly before 8 a.m.
A spokesperson could not immediately give details of the nature and extent of the operation.
Smoke and flames were reportedly reported at the building on rue Saint-Félix.
At least 50 firefighters are on site.
The building was evacuated.
We learned, around 8:40 am, that “the bulk of the flames” had been brought down.
The fire would have started in the sector devoted to sports and is possibly linked to the carrying out of work.
There were no face-to-face classes on Thursday.
