NYC Parks Department Workers who were clearing a wooded area at the Mosholu golf course in the Bronx, they found a badly decomposed body and a cell phone that could help identify who the person was.
Two workers found the human remains in a wooded area in the field located on Jerome Avenue around 10:25 a.m. Tuesday. I was so decomposed that the gender or race of the corpse could not be determined with the naked eye.
The area is known to be a shelter for drug users and homeless adults, and the person may have overdosed, according to police.
The body had no identification, but a cell phone was found. Investigators are obtaining a subpoena to obtain the phone records and determine your identity.
The forensic medicine is investigating to determine the gender and age of the person and the cause of death, reported New York Post.
