Olivier Giroud’s agent has called the decision to play Tammy Abraham ahead of the Frenchman “unfair” and warned they will seek pastures new if things don’t change.
The World Cup winner has made just one start this season and that came against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup.
New signing Timo Werner has been Frank Lampard’s first choice frontman.
But his understudy has often been Abraham, who has made 12 appearances for the Blues this term.
Giroud finds himself in a similar scenario to the one he faced 12 months ago when he couldn’t get a game ahead of the young Englishman.

And his agent, Michael Manuello, has confirmed that he will look to move the 34-year-old on if the situation remains the same.
He told FootMercato : “Effectively, since the start of September, things have changed but what has not changed is his capacity to play matches for France, contrary to what was said by certain others.
“There have been €150m worth of players bought. But at the same time you’d be blind not to see that Frank Lampard has decided to put Tammy Abraham ahead of him.
“It is not frankly fair when you look at what Olivier did at the end of the season. But he (Lampard) has the right, it is his choice.
“So effectively if things continue like this, in December we will find ourselves where we were in December 2019.
“Things have happened in the last five months. We cannot just look at the last two months and be forgetful about the three years that came before it.
“But we have to be honest and if this continues, we will have to, first and foremost for him, experience other emotions.”
Giroud has scored 29 times in 94 outings since joining the Blues in January 2018.
Last term he enjoyed a purple patch when he was reintroduced to the first team picture, but those opportunities have not continued into the current season.
