Keke Wyatt opened up about her son’s chilling cancer diagnosis and gave a positive update in a new YouTube video posted last week.
The 38-year-old singer shared footage of a pre-pandemic doctor’s visit with her son Rahjah in which she revealed they didn’t learn he was sick with leukemia until he was unable to move from intense pain during a trip to Six Flags.
The clip took on a joyous note as the family got the good news that Rahjah was currently in remission.

The clip was filmed at the Children’s Healthcare wing of the Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta during a visit to the Cancer & Blood Disorders Center.
Keke, who wrote in the caption that she was ‘still pregnant with my newest baby’ at the time, showed off her baby bump in a figure-hugging camouflage dress, along with a long black cardigan.
Rahjah was dressed casually in gray sweatpants and a white tank top, with long black braids with pink strands tied in.
The video opened with two people in white coats and with clown makeup arriving to serenade Rahjah in the waiting room while he sat with his mother and his step-father Zachariah Darring.

Inside the exam room, Rahjah showed of his power port on his chest, which Keke described as ‘a catheter under his skin straight to his heart so that when they have to administer the medicine, it literally goes straight to his heart.’
She added that his heart health was being monitored, as the chemotherapy he was undergoing for his cancer put a ‘lot of stress on the heart.’
The Nothing In This World singer said she first suspected that something was wrong with her son following ‘a horrible problem when we went to Six Flags.’
She said her son ‘sat in one spot at the park and was like, “Mom, I literally cannot move.”‘

Close call: ‘You couldn’t walk. You couldn’t do anything,’ she remembered aloud to her son. ‘Because I was dying!’ he interjected. ‘I was literally dying and we didn’t know’
The songstress added that her son had to be carried out of the park piggy-back style because he was in too much pain to walk out on his own.

‘You dropped weight drastically,’ Keke continued. ‘[The doctor] was like, “Okay, let’s just run some blood. Let’s just check some blood, tests some blood and see.”‘
Tough time: Tests revealed that Rahjah had leukemia, and he had to be rushed to the hospital. He suffered seizures while their due to brain swelling
She got a scary phone call late at night in which the doctor shared the leukemia diagnosis and told her to bring Rahjah to the hospital as quickly as possibly due to an abnormal test result.
After the doctor confirmed her suspicions that her son had cancer, Keke added, ‘Honey, my butthole fell on the floor.’
‘My throat hit my butt and my butt hit the floor. I couldn’t believe it,’ she said. ‘I said, “What kind of cancer?” And when she said leukemia, honey, my teeth literally started chattering.’

Keke’s video also included a chilling story about the time Rahjah suffered a series of seizures while being hospitalized.
Luckily, he’s now in remission, and the family have been able to put his medical scare behind them.
The R&B singer has nine children from her prior marriages.
She gave birth to her first six children while married to her road manager Rahmat Morton.
She was only 18 when they tied the knot, and the tumultuous union was marred by domestic violence after she stabbed him.
She claimed she attacked Morton to defend herself and her children.

Keke later filed for divorce in 2009 after he attacked her.
She subsequently married Michael Ford in 2010, with whom she shared three more children.
She gave birth to her ninth child in October 2017 while in the midst of a divorce from Ford.
Keke and Zachariah walked down the aisle in 2018, a year before they announced her pregnancy.
In January, she welcomed her 10th child and their first together, a son named Ke’Riah.
