The campaign of president-elect Joe Biden announced that it will address the people of the United States at 8 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. PT on Saturday.
It is expected that Joe biden, with his wife Jill Y Kamala harris, accompanied by her husband Douglas Emhoff, perform on a flag-adorned outdoor stage near the Chase Center on Riverfront, an event facility in Wilmington, Delaware.
Joe Biden’s speech will be streamed online on his YouTube channel.
Several television networks will also broadcast the president-elect’s speech.
In a written statement on Saturday, Biden asked the nation to unite, a sentiment that he will likely express in his comments on Saturday night as well. “It is time for America to come together,” he said. “And heal.”
America, I’m honored that you have chosen me to lead our great country.
The work ahead of us will be hard, but I promise you this: I will be a President for all Americans – whether you voted for me or not.
I will keep the faith that you have placed in me. pic.twitter.com/moA9qhmjn8
