A need for young people
This project, which could be compared to a virtual youth center, was launched by Régis Labeaume, who called on ComediHa! for a ” show daily internet that does good for the souls of young people. “
“We are very concerned about the ability of adolescents to manage this pandemic,” said the mayor of Quebec at a press conference on Friday.
In two weeks, ComediHa! succeeded in rallying a large number of personalities. “When Mayor Labeaume contacted me about 15 days ago, I was very attentive and I understood the importance of the gesture we were asked to do,” explained Sylvain Parent-Bédard.
Production costs amount to nearly $ 2.3 million. The City is funding the project to the tune of $ 720,000, the rest being assumed by ComediHa !. “I also asked that no one make money with it […] that it would be a collective contribution to the current situation, ”said Régis Labeaume.
► L’ABRI de Québec will be presented from November 9 to January 3, 2021, Monday to Sunday at 7:30 p.m., on ComediHa.TV.
