Roman Kemp threatens to ‘pull the plug’ as his parents discuss sex life on radio

Roman Kemp has been left red-faced after his loved-up parents discussed their sex life on Capital Breakfast.

The 27-year-old presenter was left feeling ‘queasy’ and ‘perishing in embarrassment’ as his parents Martin and Shirlie Kemp delved into the personal details of their romance.

The proud parents gave their son’s Capital listeners dating tips on Capital Breakfast, before the conversation took a turn and the mortified host begged his dad to ‘Stop, please’.

Roman went as far as threatening to pull the plug on the interview after Martin and Shirlie started to embarrass him, much to the enjoyment of Sonny Jay and Sian Welby.

After a confused listener called in to ask whether or not it’s a good idea to have sex in the early days of a relationship, Martin and Shirlie did not hold back with their advice.

Roman’s mum shared: “I don’t think there’s such a time, I think it’s when it’s right and feels right, and you’re both feeling secure and loving and there’s trust, and there’s love.

“Love is the most important thing; do you feel loved?”.

To which her cheeky hubby replied: “Yeah, we waited 45 minutes in total.”

Roman simply couldn’t cope with the embarrassment

Sonny and Sian immediately erupted into laugher as listeners could hear Roman squealing “Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop” .

Roman pleaded: “Dad stop, please. Please. I’m going to pull this in a second!”.

Elsewhere in the candid interview, Martin reminisced on his first date with Shirlie – who just so happened to turn up late music legend George Michael.

In a bid to spend some alone time with his lady, Martin had to get rid of the singer by sending him to the longest queue at the bar.

The host begged his parents to stop talking

He laughed: “Ohh, you know the first date I ever took Shirlie on, she showed up with her best friend, who was at the time George Michael.

“So, George ended up coming on the date with us, and the only way I could get rid of him was keep finding the longest queue at the bar and sending him up to the bar to get drinks.”
