The thematic series will begin on Monday with the participation of Michel Bergeron, who found himself at the helm of the Quebec Nordiques some 40 years ago. Along with the Stastny brothers, Michel Goulet and Dale Hunter, the Tiger formed the identity of the Fleurdelisée team, notably by being at the heart of the Canadian-Nordiques rivalry. Having also managed the New York Rangers, Bergeron began a career in the media world after his second stint behind the bench in Quebec.
The next day, it will be the turn of Danny Maciocia, current general manager of the Montreal Alouettes, to review the great moments of his career. Winner of a Vanier Cup with the University of Montreal Carabins, he also had some success in the Canadian Football League. Originally from the borough of Saint-Léonard, he won the Gray Cup with the Edmonton Eskimos, among others: in 2003 as offensive coordinator, then two years later as a pilot.
On Wednesday, the head coach of the Canadian junior hockey team, André Tourigny, will be on the show to discuss his experience with the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, which he led from 2003 to 2013. A former assistant to Patrick Roy with the Colorado Avalanche, he also worked with the Ottawa Senators before returning to the junior ranks to be in charge of the Halifax Mooseheads, then the Ottawa 67’s in Ontario.
Finally, Jacques Martin will complete this renowned quartet on Thursday. Now assisting with the Rangers, the Franco-Ontarian is well known to fans here, having nearly 40 years of experience in the National Hockey League, which includes a stint with the Habs. Martin saw the Canadian reach the Eastern Conference final in 2010. In addition, he worked in the Nordiques organization and acted as head coach of the St. Louis Blues, Florida Senators and Panthers.
- “Dave Morissette Live” airs at 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as 9:30 p.m. Monday and 10 p.m. Thursday on TVA Sports.
