A driver collided with a 94-year-old man in a wheelchair on Manhattan’s Upper East Side yesterday afternoon, leaving the elderly victim in critical but stable condition. reported the police.
The unidentified old man was crossing the 5th avenue at 90th Street in a motorized wheelchair around 3 p.m. when he was struck by a 32-year-old driver in a southbound Toyota Camry.
It was not immediately clear who had the right of way. The victim suffered cuts to the head and was treated at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
The driver, who was also not identified, remained at the scene and is not being charged with any crime, it reported. New York Post.
