Beverlee Jackson was killed when her car crashed into a building in Queens, NYC and burst into flames Thursday night.
Around 11:50 p.m., FDNY received the report of a car fire at 11-05 44th Drive, near 11th St, in Long Island City.
Responding officers found the 58 year old woman seriously injured, unconscious, lying on the ground outside his vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim resided in Brooklyn.
A further investigation by the New York Police Department determined that Jackson was driving his Honda CRV to high speed heading north on 11th Street, when he jumped the sidewalk at the northeast corner of the intersection before crashing into the building.
The woman was thrown from the vehicle on impact and was partially immobilized under the truck after it turned, police said. Soon after, the vehicle burst into flames.
The building, headquarters of the printing and signage company “Cosmos Communications”, was declared in a safe condition, according to the NYPD, reported LICPost.
