The homeless may be eligible for a $ 1,200 stimulus check and $ 500 for each child under the age of 17 they have. To receive this payment, they must register with the IRS using the free Non-Filers tool, which is in Spanish, according to the IRS.

In order for them to get their money this year, the homeless will need to enter their information before Saturday, November 21, 2020.

If you fail to provide your information before November 21, they will be able to claim the money as a credit on a 2020 federal income tax return next year.

It should be noted that this payment is not subject to taxes and it does not affect homeless people qualifying and taking advantage of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or unemployment insurance benefits.
