Tyldesley lands new commentating gig… on your JustEat order!
Football commentary legend Clive Tyldesley has announced that he will be joining food delivery platform Just Eat as their official commentator in what could be the surprise signing of the transfer window.
Clive and his iconic voice will be commentating on the plates of lucky Just Eat customers on Saturday 3rd October to celebrate the new football season and the closing of the transfer window.
After becoming an unlikely lockdown star by commentating on various elements of daily life from cleaning the house to his wife’s lasagne, it is clear that Clive’s commentary talents shouldn’t be limited to football alone.
Clive will be swapping penalty kicks for chopsticks and full backs for full stomachs as he comments on the nation’s food delivery success stories.
Clive has already expertly handled the plating up of Just Eat deliveries by West Ham’s man of the moment, Michail Antonio, former Arsenal legend and current Reading player, Danielle Carter and Fulham’s no.10, Tom Cairney.
Football and food fans alike can get involved by simply downloading the Just Eat app and placing an order, then sending in a short video clip of them plating up their food delivery to [email protected] on Saturday 3rd October to be in with a chance of having Clive immortalise their order with a piece of classic commentary.
Having commentated on some of the most famous games of all time including the 2005 Champions League final between Liverpool and AC Milan, the 1999 Champions League final and a whole host of other legendary footballing moments – will you be next for the Clive treatment?
Clive said: “It was great to see how Michail, Danielle and Tom Cairney plated their Just Eat food delivery up, now I’m looking forward to seeing the skills of the public.
“So, order through the Just Eat app, send me a short video of your order and I’ll do the rest.”
