Bindi Irwin has shared a moving quote by her late dad Steve Irwin in a sweet Instagram post shared with fans.
The 22-year-old – who last month announced she’s expecting a baby girl with her husband Chandler Powell – is keeping her dad’s legacy alive after his tragic passing in 2006.
Sharing an adorable snap of herself cuddling a koala, Bindi penned a touching quote her beloved dad once told her.
“‘Where I live if someone gives you a hug, it’s from the heart.’ — Dad (Steve Irwin),” she penned.
Crocodile Hunter Steve tragically died in September 2006 after being pierced in the heart by a stingray barb while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
His death devastated millions of people around the world, as his legacy continues to live on more than a decade on.
Last month, Bindi took to Instagram to announce that she’s expecting her first child with her hubby.
The newlyweds grinned for the snap whilst holding up a baby Australia Zoo uniform.
“Baby Wildlife Warrior due 2021. Chandler and I are proud to announce that we’re expecting!” she told her social media followers.
“It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter.
“We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us.”
She added: “Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes & prayers to our little sweetheart. Love & light.”
Her husband Chandler then responded: “You’re going to be the best mother.”
The happy news comes a week after Bindi marked the one year anniversary of Chandler proposing to her on her 21st birthday.
The pair tied the knot on March 25 this year at Australia Zoo where they first met.
The pair’s special day featured many touching tributes to Steve.
“Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad’s memory,” said Bindi, whose brother Robert walked her down the aisle.
