AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Swedish hitman has made a strong start to the new season with the Rossoneri and scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday.
But he tested positive for Covid-19, in testing done at the club’s Milanello training ground on Thursday.
He is not the only Milan player to test positive, with defender Leo Duarte testing positive on Tuesday.
Milan face Bodo-Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday night.
The Rossoneri confirmed the news in a statement, declaring: “Zlatan Ibrahimović has tested positive for Covid-19 following a second round of swab tests ahead of tonight’s game against Bodø/Glimt.
“The Club has informed the relevant authorities and the player has been promptly placed in quarantine at home.
“All other team members and staff have tested negative.”
The entire squad and staff had been re-tested following Duarte’s positive earlier this week.
