Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has told Jack Grealish and Wilfried Zaha they are not good enough to play for his former club.
The Premier League champions have already strengthened their attacking line this summer with the arrival of Diogo Jota from Wolves.
While they could bring Watford goal-hunter Ismaila Sarr into the ranks after his impressive debut season.
But Carragher, who made more than 700 appearances and won a Champions League at Anfield, suggested the Reds should avoid two players in the transfer window.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “I think Jack [Grealish] is in a position similar to [Wilfried] Zaha at Palace, where the type of money to get him out of the club you are talking £60 or £70 million.

“I don’t think they are quite good enough to play for Liverpool or Manchester City, and teams just below the top four I don’t think they’d want to pay the money to get him.”
Grealish enjoyed an impressive season with Aston Villa last year, scoring 10 goals and making eight assists as they avoided relegation on the final day of the 2019/20 season.
And it saw him get linked with a move to rivals Manchester United before signing a new contract in the Midlands to keep him there until 2025.
With an £80m price tag put on his head before the deal was secured, making him a high-ticket player for any other clubs looking at a transfer.
Zaha is in a similar position, already putting three goals on his tally this season to put Crystal Palace in the top five.
And he has been linked with a move away from south London as former club United and Chelsea have expressed an interest.
But Jurgen Klopp’s side were urged to make a move for the Englishman, who was described as “perfect” by former Blues man Tony Cascarino.
