Manchester United are reportedly not willing to sell Daniel James this summer despite the 22-year-old winger being strongly linked with a move to Leeds.
James joined the Red Devils from Swansea last summer and got off to a superb start to life at Old Trafford, scoring three goals in his first four Premier League games and being voted their player of the month for August of that year.
But the Welsh international has failed to kick on since then, and hasn’t managed to find the back of the net again for United in the league.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is known to be a big fan of the player, and almost managed to sign James last January.

But according to Manchester Evening News his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still convinced he can come good at the club, and he is very much part of his plans for the future.
This is despite United’s continued interest in Jadon Sancho, who remains their No.1 target as they look to add another winger to their squad.
James, who has a contract which runs until 2024, is himself happy at United, and remains determined to recapture the form he showed at the start of his time at the club.
Speaking last month he said: “From the start the aim was to try and play as much as possible. But with the quality of the players here, I thought maybe it would take me a season to really get to grips with the club and the Premier League.
“Coming from a Championship club straight into the Premier League was…I didn’t think I would play so many games.
“To play for this club and to play so much, I’m honoured.”
After starting Saturday’s defeat to Crystal Palace, it remains to be seen if James is selected again when United look to put things right with their second Premier League game of the season against Brighton on Saturday.
