Luton vs Man Utd kick-off time, TV and live stream information

[ad_1]

Manchester United play Championship side Luton Town for the first time in nearly 30 years, when they visit Kenilworth Road on Tuesday.

The two sides last came across each other in April 1992, shortly before Luton’s relegation from the old First Division, the last season before the top flight was renamed to the Premiership.

The Hatters set up the third round tie with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side – who enter the competition at this stage – with a 1-0 win away at Reading last week.

Both sides are former winners of the competition; Man Utd have lifted the three-handled cup on five occasions, most recently in 2017, while Luton beat Arsenal 3-2 in 1988 for their sole triumph.

Man Utd’s season kicked off a week later on Saturday with a 3-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace – though new signing Donny van de Beek found the net, while Luton have won every game so far in the 2020/21 season.

Premier League champions go to Lincoln City on Thursday evening, kicking off at 7.45pm.

Luton vs Man Utd odds

United kicked off with a miserable opening day defeat by Crystal Palace, Championship Luton are on a roll – two wins at the end of 2019-20 followed by two in the Championship and two in the EFL Cup this term.

The cup wins were both against Championship rivals in Norwich City and Reading, too – and United are sure to make changes. So odds of 10/1 on a shock home win and 5/1 on the draw are huge.

United are a prohibitive 1/4 with thepools.com. The bookies clearly believe that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer simply can’t afford another defeat – and that may well be the case.

But Nathan Jones’ men have scored seven goals in four games this season and have only failed to score in two of their last 19 competitive fixtures.

United to win and BTTS is 2/1 and a very appealing bet.
